The new President of the European Commission, Ursula von der Leyen, stated that environmental degradation and climate change are at the center of her agenda for the next 5 years, and that Sustainability and Circular Economy are among her priorities. In this context, the European Apparel and Textile Confederation EURATEX, of which we are a member as TGSD, has completed its work on the Circular Economy Strategy for our sector.
EURATEX plans to submit the names of 50 textile and apparel companies that have studies and investments in the Circular Economy and will voluntarily support it to the EU Commission in order to inform official institutions about our sector's work on this issue. Companies that consider volunteering sign this commitment, which has no legal binding, that they will continue their circular economy work and share their experiences.
In order to inform the European Commission about our country's work on this issue, we kindly request that companies working on Circular Economy and Sustainability fill out the attached files and submit them to our association by December 5, 2019.
