TGSD YOUTH PLATFORM DIRECTIVE

ORGANISATION

Article 1: The TGSD Youth Platform shall be established to report to the Chairman of the Board of Directors of TGSD or a member of the Board of Directors appointed by the Chairman of the Board of Directors of TGSD. Individuals between the ages of 18 and 35, with at least 2 years of industry experience, who will be recommended by legal or real persons who are members of TGSD, are accepted as members of the TGSD Youth Platform with the approval of the TGSD Board of Directors, provided that they also meet the conditions in Article 5 of the TGSD Bylaws.

 PURPOSE

Article 2: The purpose of this directive is to ensure that individuals under the age of 35 are in contact with TGSD, to ensure that young people contribute to TGSD and the sector to be up-to-date and dynamic, to support young people to become individuals who research, produce and develop their individual decision-making abilities by revealing their entrepreneurial and dynamic identities in terms of the aims and duties of TGSD, to support young people to develop knowledge, skills and competencies that will enable and enable them to participate fully in the labour market and civil society; To support young people to become researching and productive individuals and to improve their individual decision-making abilities, to contribute to the creation of the necessary opportunities and experience conditions for young people to develop the knowledge, skills and competencies that will enable and enable them to participate fully in the labour market and civil society, to regulate the functioning of the TGSD Youth Platform, the relevant principles and methods.

SCOPE

Article 3: This Directive covers the establishment, duties, authorities and responsibilities of the TGSD Youth Platform and its working principles and methods.

BASIS

Article 4: This Directive has been prepared on the basis of the Turkish Civil Code, the Law on Associations and the Bylaws of TGSD and is based on Article 20/20 of the Bylaws of TGSD.

AIMS OF TGSD YOUTH PLATFORM

Article 5: To carry out intellectual and operational activities in accordance with the purpose of establishment of TGSD in its statute.

In this context;

  1. To increase the number of young members of TGSD and to ensure that the aims and duties of TGSD are widely adopted, especially by young people,
  2. To determine the issues concerning the youth within the scope of the aims, duties and activities of TGSD and to present these issues to the TGSD Board of Directors by forming an opinion on these issues,
  3. To operate in coordination and complete harmony with all organs and members of TGSD,
  4. To carry out activities in integrity in line with the plans and programmes determined by the TGSD authorised boards or determined by the TGSD Youth Platform members themselves and approved by the TGSD Board of Directors,
  5. To adapt young people to the sector, to create mutual nurturing processes between young people and TGSD Board Members, to lead the TGSD Youth Platform movement by contributing to the participation of TGSD Youth Platform members as free and equal individuals in all areas of social life.

ESTABLISHMENT OF TGSD YOUTH PLATFORM

Article 6: The TGSD Board of Directors elects the Founding Executive Board from the current member list of the TGSD Youth Platform, consisting of willing persons between the ages of 18 and 35, for a period of 2 years as 5 full and 5 substitute members and announces it on the official website of TGSD. At the end of 2 years, the term of office of the TGSD Youth Platform Founding Executive Board expires. The TGSD Youth Platform Members in the list announced on the TGSD official website convene with the decision of the TGSD Board of Directors and elect the TGSD Youth Platform Executive Board consisting of 5 full and 5 substitute members. The elected Executive Board determines the spokesperson and secretary of the TGSD Youth Platform with the distribution of duties among itself. TGSD Youth Platform becomes operational upon the decision of TGSD Board of Directors. TGSD Youth Platform Executive Board elections shall be held every 2 years at the TGSD Headquarters on the date to be determined by the TGSD Board of Directors and unless otherwise decided.

 

TGSD YOUTH PLATFORM EXECUTIVE BOARD WORKING PRINCIPLES

Article 7: Meetings are held at least once every 2 months upon the call of the TGSD Youth Platform spokesperson.

The meeting quorum is one more than half of the total number of members. Decisions are taken with the majority of the participants, but if the quorum is less than 1/3 of the total number of members, no decision can be taken and the meeting is postponed to a later date. A member of the TGSD Youth Platform Executive Board who fails to attend more than 3 meetings in a year shall automatically cease to be a member and shall be replaced by the first substitute member to complete the remaining period. After each meeting, the secretary of the TGSD Youth Platform shall inform the members of the TGSD Youth Platform about the issues and/or decisions taken at the meeting on the page of the official website of TGSD reserved for the TGSD Youth Platform and/or on social media accounts, with the approval of the TGSD Board of Directors or the Secretary General of TGSD to be appointed by the TGSD Board of Directors. The decisions taken by the TGSD Youth Platform shall be submitted to the TGSD Board of Directors in writing, together with the signatures of the absolute majority of the full members of the TGSD Youth Platform Executive Board and the attendance list of the members present at the meeting. Decisions become valid upon the approval of the TGSD Board of Directors.

GENERAL ISSUES REGARDING TGSD YOUTH PLATFORM

Article 8:

  1. To diversify activities and transform them into sustainable projects in order to improve TGSD loyalty,
  2. To increase participation in TGSD activities, to recruit young people to TGSD and to take part in and assist TGSD activities as a volunteer.
  3. To carry out intellectual and operational activities in accordance with the founding purpose of TGSD as set forth in the TGSD Bylaws, and to establish new commissions and working groups for this purpose with the approval of the TGSD Board of Directors.
  4. To develop the researcher, creative and unifying skills of TGSD Youth Platform members and to ensure their voluntary participation in social life,
  5. To submit the periodical activity report including the activities to the TGSD Board of Directors,
  6. Contributing to the General Secretariat of TGSD in the active participation of TGSD in social media and supporting the visibility of the association in social media
  7. To organize seminars, conferences, interviews, etc. periodically,
  8. Discussing and maturing activities, events, projects and researches within itself, developing proposals that will create financing, presenting them as a proposal to the TGSD Board of Directors and implementing them in coordination with the TGSD General Secretariat after approval.
  9. To work as the TGSD Youth Platform Executive Board under the responsibility of a TGSD Vice President and/or TGSD Board Member appointed by the TGSD Board of Directors,
  10. Attending TGSD General Assembly meetings and TGSD Board of Directors and High Advisory Board meetings as observers when invited.
  11. TGSD Youth Platform members do not have voting rights in the meetings they attend and do not pay annual dues. If deemed appropriate by the TGSD Board of Directors, the TGSD Youth Platform Spokesperson may attend Board meetings and participate in discussions, but decisions are taken by the TGSD Board of Directors.

RESPONSIBILITY

Article 9: TGSD Youth Platform Executive Board and TGSD Board of Directors are responsible for the execution of the activities to be carried out.

 

BOOKS AND RECORDS TO BE KEPT

Article 10: The advisory decisions taken at the meetings of the TGSD Youth Platform Executive Board are recorded in minutes by the TGSD Youth Platform Secretary to be submitted to the TGSD Board of Directors for approval. The decision taken regarding each activity planned to be organised shall be submitted in writing to the General Secretary of TGSD for submission to the TGSD Board of Directors. A copy of the minutes of the decision and the attendance sheet shall be archived and kept by the General Secretariat of TGSD. TGSD Youth Platform Spokesperson is responsible for keeping and protecting the archive.

 

DISSOLUTION OF TGSD YOUTH PLATFORM

Article 11:

  1. a) The dissolution of the TGSD Youth Platform requires the decision of the TGSD Board of Directors based on the following reasons

a1- Failure to fulfil the duties, authorities, responsibilities and objectives in Article 6,

a2- Disciplinary offences committed in accordance with the TGSD Bylaws and directives,

a3- General immoral acts and behaviours,

a4- The Youth Platform Executive Board's written request for self-renewal,

a5- Making statements in public places (open places, internet, etc.) that may damage the prestige of the corporate identity (for positions such as TGSD Board of Directors, TGSD Youth Platform Executive Board) as a precautionary measure due to disciplinary proceedings,

  1. b) The termination procedure shall be resolved by the Board of Directors of TGSD.

 

TERMINATION OF TGSD YOUTH PLATFORM MEMBERSHIP

Article 12: A member who turns 35 loses his/her TGSD Youth Platform membership, but if he/she applies, he/she may become a member of TGSD in accordance with the TGSD membership acceptance procedure, provided that he/she meets the TGSD membership requirements.

 

DISCIPLINARY PROCEEDINGS

Article 13: The provisions of the TGSD Bylaws shall apply to disciplinary matters.

 

FINAL PROVISIONS

Article 14: This Directive shall become effective upon the approval of the TGSD Board of Directors.
